For the last of our four campsites on the 7th July we drove east of Exeter for a four night stay at the Putts Corner CMC site which gave us easy access to Sidmouth, Ottery St. Mary, Branscombe, Beer and Seaton.

Our third site was the Slapton Sands CCC site overlooking the sea where we stayed for five nights. our intention was to explore locations along the coast all the way up to Exeter.

Our second stop was at The Barton CL, a few miles south of Bideford on the North Devon coast. From here we could easily get to many places on the north coast and even the occasional National Trust location!

Feeling brave enough to return to Devon after our abortive trip last year, we first travelled to the Exmoor House CMC in Dulverton on the Somerset border and on the edge of Exmoor. We were only staying two nights but wanted to see more of the area after our brief stay last year.
